Hey, i’m Sophie.

I work with women and families as a Birth & Postnatal Doula and Hypnobirthing Instructor across South London and Surrey. I provide parents & parents to be with evidence based, complete birth education supporting you through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

I live in Sutton with my Husband, Son, French Bulldog and Cat - yes, the house is far too busy! I love slow days at home with my family, drinking too much coffee, enjoying laughter with friends, spending time in nature and of course, a good glass of red wine.

I am passionate about my work and want to change the narrative that birth is an experience that needs to be feared. Whilst I have the skills to prepare and support physiological birth I also believe in choosing the birth that FEELS right for you. I will be by your side and in your corner to support your choices so that you feel confident and empowered, whatever they may be. Above all I will offer you emotional encouragement and a non judgemental listening ear

So, how did I get into birth work? Before becoming pregnant with my son I had a huge fear of birth. I knew things needed to change and delved deep into Hypnobirthing which helped me overcome those feelings of worry. It also gave me the confidence and tools to plan the birth I wanted. I was able to navigate the maternity system and decline the induction I was offered on multiple occasions. I have seen first hand how beneficial it is to work through any negative or fearful connotations of birth and to learn about the physiology of birth and how you can work with your body to have a positive experience.

After using Hypnobirthing techniques for my own birth I decided I wanted to help other expectant parents overcome their fears so that they too could have an experience they didn’t need to heal from. I have been teaching Hypnobirthing online and in person since training with Riot Birth Network in 2023. Teaching parents about birth only ignited my passion further and I decided to train as a Doula. I completed my Birth and Postnatal Doula training in June 2024 with Developing Doulas.

I have a degree in Early Childhood which gives me a well rounded knowledge of babies in the early stages. I have worked as a professional Nanny for families in the U.K. and USA helping with children from birth to early adolescence. Alongside Doula-ing I am the Co-Chair for Epsom & St Helier Hospital’s MNVP (Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership). We are an independent group of midwives, birth workers and parents, working together to improve maternity services and outcomes for you.

If you think I can support you on your journey then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I believe in you!
